which bank A/c to use

I am planning to invite my parents on B2 visa.I went throuhg the I-134 form and it asks for your saving A/c balance.Also in the instructions it tells you to disclose you A/c balance from past one year.
Here is my situation, I opened my saving A/c in FEB 07.Even if I have sufficient balance in this A/c, I still cant fulfill the one year condition.I have my checking account for more than a year though.So can I just mention my saving A/c balance on the I-134 and attach the past year balance letter from my checking A/c.Also for inviting my parents what kind of balance would be sufficient?
Please suggest, will be a big help.
