Visitors for parents living abroad(not living in India)

I am on H4 visa and I would like to get a visitors visa for my parents living abroad for more than 6 months.
Are they able to get a visitors visa from India when they come visiting to India?
What papers r required for the visa process if they have to apply for a visitors visa?
Please help me..

They should apply in India. Documents list is available on the home page of this forum.

If they are able to finance their trip themselves, just send an invitation letter to them with a copy of your bc reflecting their names and a copy of your visa
and your spouse's visa.

If they do not have enough income to show self financing , then your spouse
should also send an I-134 with supporting financial documents.
