Need Urgent Help, please!!!

Hi,
My father's appt is on Wed 28th feb. He lost original HDFC receipt. Has photocopy though. My mother appeared last year for an interview and believes that the reciept was not asked to her.

He left the original recipt at the Pune Visa application Collection center.

I already saw few threads where it says original HDFc receipt is required.

I am not sure going to Pune center will help. Does anyone think that receipt is not required always?

Second important Question: My mother is already in US for past couple months. I am telling my father to tell VO that his wife is in India and hence he will come back. Do you think they have a record that my mom travelled to US?
Or that she is granted Visa?

I am worried because this would be 4th attempt. My mom got at 4th and now dad's turn.

Please help !

Information to share on HDFC receipt

Following Reply I got from VFS. It says that photocopy should suffice.. Does anyone in this forum (specially senior members and Admin) not agree with this?

Because this is in conflict with other HDFC receipt lost threads and that's why I am now confused whether to take new receipt or just go ahead with photocopy. And can someone please reply to my other question below.

Kindly note that if the applicant has already submitted the visa application form to the Application centre and then the Pink HDFC receipt is lost in that case, the Applicant can carry the HDFC receipt photocpy and attend the interview.
