Hi All,
My mother has 1 year multiple entry visa which expires in the month of April 07. She visited me in 2006 and left in second week of November. My father has 10 year multiple entry visa and he also visited me in 2006 and left to India in second week of November.

Now my parents are planing to visit me in next week. What are the chances of my mother getting 6 months at POE?

How long did your mother stay in the U.S last time? 6 months. If so there is a very slim chance that they would get 6 months this time. Staying in the U.S for more then 6 months in a calendar year amounts to living in the U.S. Remember that if your mother goes to the consulate again for her next visa stamping, she would be grilled about her stay. If she said that she intented to stay only for 3-4 months, she should only stay for 3-4 months. They make a note of all answers. If you are not true to what you had said, you ruin your credibility. There are responses from people in this forum and other forums about parents being denied visa the 2nd time eventhough they returned back to their countries.

your answer is scary. They stayed only 3 months. I would like to know if anyone experienced this kind of situation and have got 6 months at POE. Thanks.
