passport expiration

Hi There!

My parents are planning to visit USA in May. My mom is planning is stay for two months. Her passport is valid till Sep 25th. She is planning to be back in India by that time. My dad is staying for only a month and there is no problem with his passport. They have B1/B2 visa.

Will this passport expiration date be a problem in immigration??
Should they go to immigration counters separately?

As long as the passport is valid for 6 months from the date of entry till she goes back to India she should be ok if not consult the nearest Passport and see if she can be issused a emergency passport which is valid for 1 year under tatkal system

So do you mean to say that the passport shd be valid for 6 months from date of entry into US even though she is not planning to stay that long??
Is it not enough that the passport is valid until the time she leaves USA??
