  • I-134***Saving or Checking A/c Balance***

    Hi Everyone,

I think I missed a part of my question last time..let me ask you again..
If you notice the I-134 form their is a column to enter the ammount from the savings A/c.
I did not had a saving account earlier so for that reason I opened one in Feb 07.
Now the question is as per your comments in the forum I should have a bank letter telling about the average balance for last year and also should have a good balance from past 6 months. Now in my case if my parents try to get the visa by April then I cant show the 6 months activity for that account. So what should I do, should I use the checking account instead which I have from more than one year...Can I mention the ammount from my checking account in I-134(please note the no. 7 on the form I HAVE ON DEPOSIT IN SAVINGS BANKS IN UNITED STATES)..Please advise

    Thank you

    Dont worry about Act Type

When you get Bank Letter they will show both Savings and Checking account details. you can enter the total amount yu have in both accounts in the I134 section no7.

top worrying about these small things. Prepare yr parents for the visa interview. Good luck.

      Thanks for replying...
We are two brothers and my elder brother is in singapore from last 4 years. Will him being in singapore and not in India effect the visa approval?
Just for the background...my parents are right now with him and are returning to India this sunday( 03/18/07).They have been to singapore multiple times but always returned back to India within the visa validity period.
They will try to get the US visa near june.

      Thanks
