  • Visa rejected and reapplication

    Hi,

My parents applied for a visitor's visa in Feb and their visa was rejected (not enough ties in India). Now my mom is reapplying again. What will be the best answer to give when asked "Why is your husband not coming with you?"

    1. Due to unforseen business that my dad has to take care of.

    2. To take of his unmarried daughter who is studying in India since there is no one to take care of her now. (previously they said that a relative will take care when they both are away).

    3. My daughter (my 2nd sister who is married) who is in Dubai is in a process of buying a house and he needs to help her out.

    4. A close relative like (his sister) is visiting.

    5. My dad is dejected by the visa rejection and has decided not to go at this time.

    6. He has decided to stay back as he is getting a good business opportunity. (will my mom need documents to prove that).

Please advise what would be best reason to give to increase the chances of her getting a visa.

    Thanks

2,3,4 are frivolous so discard them.

        5 seems ok.

1,6 are reasons related to his occupation and they could be more convincing, but it depends on what was the occupation given by him in the first interview. And what is his current ocupation.

Thank you for your response. My dad's occupation was stated as "Retired" in his application. He has recently booked a shop in India and going to get possession of it in July/Aug. At this time to prove that he has a receipt of the payment he has made towards the shop. Can that be shown as proof if asked? Or should my mom just show it w/o they asking it? Would it better if the receipt were attested/notarized?

          Thanks

She should say he is bought a small shop to run a business and busy making plans for it.
Show original receipt of initial payment( only if asked for). She may be asked what type of business is he going to start so your mother should know the details and should carry documents of

Show original receipt. No attestation required.

Thank you so much for your valuable advice. I just hope she gets the visa this time. Another quick question, what kind of documents can she carry for the prospective business? I don't think my dad has any other than the receipt of the payment. They can get something made...if required..but the interview is on Thursday..apr 26.
