Tourist Visa for my wife

I would like to apply tourist visa for my wife. May I know, minimum how long will it take to process?. I dont want to delay it thru L2. Thats why trying tourist visa.

I dont understand what kind of delay is there with L2.

If you already have L1 and are in USA then it will be easier and faster to get L2. She just takes your papers to the consulate and gets L2. She doen not have to wait for approval like your L1 before visiting the consulate.
