Urgent: Thumb Impression on DS 156 for mother ??

Can you please advice if my mom can put thumb impression on DS156 form as she is a illiterate ? Do we need to notarize it ? or Do we need to put thumb impression infront of VO? Appreciated for your help

Thumb Impression at the Time of Visa Stamping and or at Port of Entry

Hi All,

My mother is illiterate and she has a passport with thumb impression on it instead signature.

Now I'm filling for Visitor Visa for her. Just wanted to check whether she's gonna have any problem with that.

Also at the Port of Entry will there be any issue considering that she can not sign but put thumb impression.

Any help would be highly appreciated.
