Is it possible to transfer status from B2 to H4?

Hi, my visa status is H1B (citizen of India) currently in USA. My Fiancée is on B2 visa and she is in USA now. I want to marry her in USA. Is it possible to transfer her visa status from B2 to H4 within USA? Please advise.

First of all, who will validate you marriage certificate here in U.S? (H1B is not resident, by all mean green card holder) Does the india embassy here in U.S have the authority to certify and issue a marriage certificate for you here in U.S? If this answer is no, then NO. B2 will still be B2. If the answer is yes, then she can apply for H4 visa with prove from marriage certificate that she is your wife and she will qualify for H4 visa, BUT NOT IN U.S.
All visa Application and issue of visa is done out side of U.S.(U.S Embassy) Here are the closes U.S Embassy. Mexico (U.S Embassy locate in Tijuana) if you're near the Mexico border. Canada(U.S Embassy in Vancouver or Toronto) if you're up near by it. Those are the nearest choices.
Just remember, The marriage certificate is what you really need for prove, If you can't obtain that here in U.S. Nothing can be done. Good Luck!
