Immihelp Administrator please help

Hello:
I was confused by a lot of opinions seen on this forum. While many people say that u need 5000 dollars to sponsor per person, Immihelp administrator said in a response that 5000 dollar is enough for multiple people.

My mother and sister are planning to go for visa. I have 6000 dollars in my account. But both me and my husband work and between us we earn greater than 70K. Is it better to book my mothers interview first with me as the sponsor and then book my sister's interview. My sister has 6-7 lac in her account plus a house she bought plus she has a job that pays over 6 lakhs. So should she self sponsor?

If you do not mind I can answer your q in place of immihelp administrator.

Self sponsorship increases the chances as it indicates good financial ties to home country and no dependence to the US host.Since your sister makes good money and has good assets, she should show that she is spending for both herself and her mother. It is dangerous to show one person self sponsoring and the other dependent on US host when both are so closely related and are traveling together. It will create an unnecessary divide in the officer's mind.

You only need to send an invitation letter with copies of your passport/visa and birth certificate showing your mother's name.

Thanks peace for ur peace for ur prompt reply. But is the amount of 5-6 lakh enough - i have seen people on this forum say u need 10-20 lakh to show for 2 people. Does the fact that she hold a well paying job count?

IN fact, many officers will base determining potential to self -sponsor on the question, "What is your income?". plus an asset letter from CA determining her worth can be shown with bank deposits, insurances, and property market value. Altogether, it should work well.

Is it mendatory to get your assest / property details evaluated by a CA when you are self sponsering.

Not mandatory. Some officers won't even look at it but some will.
So it is safer to carry and it works many times.I know because it worked with me.
