What's wrong with VFS web site?

I am not sure if I missing some thing but why is VFS site has to be so tricky?

I wanted to get appointment for my mother. I thought there should be a way to fill the application online even if appointments are not available?

Right now, when I say, "Apply for Non-immigrant Visa" it ask if it is a new application etc. After selecting interview type if appointments are not available then it won't let me fill the application.

Earlier, when appointments are available by the time I entered application all those open dates are gone. (This was few months back) and I need to do application all over again.

Can someone please let me know how I can enter my application?

I am having the same problem too

I went to https://www.vfs-usa.co.in/Home.aspx
to schedule a new appointment. All it asks is to click on the "Apply for a non-immigrant visa" but if I click there it shows the fee details. How do I start to schedule the appoinment.

Thats how the system is designed. You will be able to enter the application only when some dates are available. If its a regional appointment you will loose the date before you fill in. To avoid this issue, i suggest couple of things

1. Type the data to be entered in the form in a separate notepad line by line. So when you fill the form its easier to copy and paste.

2. Even if you loose that appointment before filling the form, you can use that filled application next time when appointments are available. So for this, you have to save the application when it says there are no dates available.
Then when you see new set of dates, use the option "Retrieve filled application" instead of "Create New application".

Do you think it is better to send our parents to book an appointment and submit the form at near by VFS service center. Do the regional language appointments avaialble all the time at the VFS service centers or Do they also have the same problem.

That's a very good idea. Next time I see any dates available I will do it
and save it even if those dates are not good for me. That way when next time available I can use the filled application.

I heard you can reschedule appt twice once we fill it.
