I am very happy to share this news with you all. My parents got the visa. THey were asked very few questions and they did not see any papers. Though my parents were ready with all the papers,
Here are the questions that they asked my parents:
Q) Do you work?
DAD) No (dad tried to showm him the papers, but he said... "calm down...dont be in a hurry...I wont need the papers"
Q)Do you have another son?
Dad) Yes
Q) what does he do?
Dad) he is CA and MBA (fin) and he is married and his wife is MBA too and a professor
Q) Will you be coming back in 6 months?
Dad) Yes
Q) Kya aap wapas aayenge? ( he asked in fluent hindi to my mother)
Mom)Yes
Q) Kya aapki bahu pregnant hain?
Mom) No.
Q) When did your son go to USA?
Dad) 2nd December 2006.
Officer: ok, you may go. You will get your passport in 2-3 days.
Dad,Mom) Thank you.
It seemed to be very easy. But I had a tough time collecting documents with the work pressure.
Piece of advice, Don't try to wait for all documents to be ready to be posted to india. Just post them as soon as they are ready. Iwas waiting for the letter from the bank and did not send the I-134. THe bank letter came at the last time and I had to send the documents with glogla priority mail. As a backup plan, I scanned the copies and send it to my brother to take a print.
