  • widowed mother's visa rejected twice. please help

We applied for my widowed mother's visitor visa at chennai consulate twice and she got rejected both times. I am working in US and am married. I have one brother here and one sister in India. Both are married. First time when she went, the vo didnt even have a look at her documents and straighaway rejected on the grounds of potential immigrant. Both times, my brother here was sponsoring her. Second time, we booked her interview in regional language. This time she said that two of her children are in India and said that one son is in US. Moreover, she also said that her son in India is unmarried and is dependent on her.

    These were the questions:

    1. How many children do you have and how many of them are there in India?

my mom: three..the youngest son is in US and the other two children, one boy and one girl are in India.

    2. Is your daughter in law in US pregnant?

    no

    3. I which year did your son come to US?

    xxxxxxx..

    4. Has he ever visited india in between?

    no

    5. What proof can you give me to make sure that u will go back after the visit?

my son in India is unmarried and is dependent on me...I have to get back to India to arrange for his marriage....many brothers and sisters in india...family ties.. active participant of social organizations...economic independency... property..bank balance.....bond with grand children in india...etc etc

    6. why do you want to go to US?

to visit my son and to see places....

    7. you can see your son when she comes to india to attend his brother's marriage...visa rejected..

Somebody advice me as to what all I should take care of when we apply for her next time. Did she get rejected the second time because we hid the fact that two of her children are in US? We did so because many people told us that the more the number of children in US, the less is that chance of getting the visa. Please help.
