  • Parents visa rejected

    Hi

My parents visa was rejected thrice in Chennai (#1arents together, #2=only mother, #3=only mother), the reason I being the only daughter. It is really depressing.

I really dont know how to proceed now. I am on a H1 visa and my husband is on F1. He is doing his Phd. I sponsored all three times. Can you give me some idea/suggestions?

Can you also give me a reliable travel agent number who has dealt in these types of cases and suceeded?

Some say that I should apply for a group interview when I go to India to stamp my H1. How does this work..Thanks..

    Hi Priya,

I am not sure if the idea of having two dependents (your husband especially since he is studying and your mother) helped your mother's case. Hope you were able to show enough funds to be able to take care of both. That may be one reason. Also, what reason did you give for your father not applying the second and the third time? If your father is employed, his work related papers may help as well.

I dont have any knowledge regarding applying for a group interview. However, one has to be careful going in for an agent. They only help putting all the papers together which I am sure by now you are very familiar with also. Any misrepresentation of facts may only hurt your case more. Since the visa was rejected thrice already, the consulate will carefully look at any new information you provide. I am not sure if it really works or not but could you contact a US senator?

If none of this works, may be you should wait till your husband finishes his studies before you reapply. I know you didnt want to hear this, but this may increase her chances.
