regarding birth certificate

HI,

I am planning my mom to visit me i haven't taken the visa appointment yet as there is a delay in my birth certificate. I just wanted to know how necessary my birth certificate is?

I am delaying taking the visa appointment only for that reason .

If its not that necessary then ill go ahead and take the appointment.

Please suggest regarding this issue i need her badly over here, waiting for the reply .
