  • Ds 156 -problem in filling given name

1)In my passport, surname is left blank. Under the given name column, name of my native village(12letters), name of my father(12letters), my name(9 letters) were written. Thus my given name(as in passport) is having 33 letters.

2)While filling DS 156 online, I could not fill up the entire name as enough space was not available. I contacted vfs twice and as per their advice, I wrote only the first letter "K" of my village name and other two names(12letters&9letters) in full.

3.Thus given name in passport and DS 156 differs.Only 1st letter "K" is filled in
    DS 156 whereas "K **** **** **M" is written in the passport(village name).

Can anybody tell whether the above is in order? Will there be any problem during visa interview?

It is difficult to say in such cases.

Best thing is to get the passport corrected properly.

My name in passport is correct and need not be corrected.

Problem is there is no space in the DS 156 form to write my full name with 33 letters. I was advied by vfs to write only the first letter K of my village name.

Is it in order? Pl. advise.
