Visitors visa for Bro

I am H1-B and just applied for a transfer. I havent received the approval yet. I want to sponsor my brother;s visitors visa and his interview is scheduled. I am afraid I will not receive my H1 approval until then. Is it fine if he takes only the receipt with him or could that cause issue. THanks
