I-94 expiring, parents interview

I am currently residing in Jersey City, NJ with H1B visa. My visa and I-94 is getting expired on 26th June 2007, however my employer (WIPRO Technologies) has filed the H1B Extension on 22nd Jan 2007 and it is currently pending with USCIS. I have planned to call my parents to visit USA for summer vacations. As my H1B extension is still under approval from USCIS (receipt number is given by USCIS), can I schedule interview for my parents with US Consulate - New Delhi under such scenario.

Please advise.

Copy of your pending application and receipt is OK, but if I can wait, I would go with new approval notice for interview. You can check your case status and book interview based on the dates.
