Parents got visa in second attempt

First of all, I would like to convey my sincere thanks to this forum..
I am staying in US and have one sister in India.
Father retired and Mother house wife.

first time:
visa was rejected on 214b.
may parents told there were many rejection on that particular day.
They took interview with a translator as they were
not very comfortable with English.


Second Time:
Booked the interview in English with a gap of 3 weeks.
I prepared based on the suggestions given here and the threads related on B2 visa..It was really very helpful..


VO: what are you doing?
Retired and doing agriculture.
VO: what crops do you grow?
YYYY
VO: who will look after that when you leave?
Relatives..
VO:how many kids do you have
1 son in US and 1 daughter in India
VO: where is your daughter living?
xxx city

Parents tried to show documents like family photograph and
bank statements but VO said no need for documents

VO: how many months do you want?
6 months
VO: OK i will give you 6 months and you have to come back within that time
Parents: Thanks you we will surely come back..
VO was a young lady and was very very friendly.

Help needed - My parents attending consulate this month

Hi,

I have a brother and sister who are living here in U.S brother studying but not graduated but working on OPT, sister housewife, my parents are attending Chennai Consulate this month.

I was doubtfull whether to tell my parents to say that one of their son is in India, is there a way that consulate people can track.

Please advice.

Its always best to tell the truth or fact in US consulate..
It helps a lot
