Leaving USA while I-539 Extension application is pending

I have applied for extending my Mom's stay on visitor visa on 7th Feb 2007. Her original I-94 at the Port of Entry expired on March 11th 2007. We have not heard about any updates regarding the case. It is still pending in Nebraska Service Center. In the meantime she is heading back to India on 28th May while her extension app is pending.

We have submitted the original I-94 along with the extension app. Only thing we have is the Receipt notice. What document should be given at the airport at the time of departure?

What is the procedure that needs to be followed in this scenario?
Should we withdraw the application stating that she is traveling on 28th May? If we need to withdraw when should this be done?
What will happen to her visa? would it be valid for her to visit us again in the future?

Any information is greatly appreciated.

First, you should not have submitted original I-94. You need to submit only the copy with extension application.

Anyway, she can leave as planned on May 28. You don't need to withdraw the application.

As long as the decision about her extension is not made by the time she leaves, her visa would be valid.
