Applying for the second time with different sponsor

Hai,

My mom got visa rejected (first attempt) under 214(b) on May 9, 07. Me and wife are Green card holders since Dec 2005. I sponsored my mom. They asked usual questions like:
* How many children? - 3 sons

* About children - 1 in US (me) , 1 in India doing Bussiness and youger son student in India

* Asked about me and wife - me Software Eng and wife ....

* How long they been there? - 1 1/2 yrs

VO gone through all the documents (all as in Immihelp) roughly and rejected visa and said the reason as let your son become more stable there.

In my W2 there is not much income shown since I worked only 6 months last year.

I am planning for a second attempt after 3 months.

Is there any problem if I try my wife as the sponsor this time since she got more amount in W2?

If my wife is sponsoring then whether the invitation letter from sponsor and letter from my mother to counslate should be addressed by me or my wife?

2. Either way is fine.
