  • Father Visiting visa got rejected. Need Help

My Father visa got rejected and issued 214(b). The reason is that both kids (son and daughter) are in the US and my father is retired/widower.

My father is taking care of my grand mother and we have properties where we get the rent and he should be there to take care of it. I am on L1 visa and i may go back at any time to india and want to spend summer with my dad. My father offered to show the documents related to property, bank statements but the officer was not interested in seeing the paper work. The one thing the officer kept repeating was "I'm not satisfied that you'll come back". How can one prove the intention is to only visit when the officer has a rules to refuse ?!?!?! My Father would like to stay for 2 months or less with me and enjoy summer here.

How can i succeed? Can some one who came out of this situation pour some information and help me ..

when can i re-apply and what doc's will help me to come out of this situation??

THat is how it is. THey decide mainly on the basis of your situation. No documents will serve any purpose.

Widows / widowers find it hard to get visas and those with all children in US
    it is very hard.

There have been reports of such parents getting visas in the 5th, 6th attempts but it really takes a toll on your parents' self respect and
    mental strength.

If he really wants to try, he should show some strong occupational link with
India that would necessitate his return like a small business he is running for some time.

Or he can try after you have returned and settled down in India.
