  • DS156 please help

    I had taken a appointment for June for my parents after waiting for appointment for very long. But unfortunately i made a mistake when i entered surname for my mother, her surname in passport is blank, while since DS156 would not continue if i leave blank i entered her middle name in DS156. I was worried about this, hence i cancelled the appointment, as i saw one appointment slot that showed up today, but for my bad luck, by the time i filled the form newly and went ahead to confirm, the message, "No appointments available popped up" while i still do see one slot open ( the day for which i cancelled). Anyone please let me know, why i cannot book an appointment while i see a slot open, so far i have cancelled the appointment only once. Is cancellation the reason or, i cannot book for same day again? or my hdfc receipt is invalidated? Please share your ideas


    Alslo please suggest if surname in passport is blank do we need to enter Given name as in passsport for surname field in DS156, and for first and middle name we must enter as "FNU" Please advise.Also i am expecting to deliver in july, but now i dont see any appointments available, anyone who sees any appointment, it would be great help to me if you can please let me know. That means a lot to me.

    Appointment was not available because someone else took the appointment before you got your chance.

      Cancel and reboot appointment issue, please help

      But i was still able to see the slots available for 2 dates for very long time after i tried. For somereason it would not let me take the appointment

      So i appreciate if you could also please help clarify 2 of my below doubts

      ) After we cancel the appointment once, will the HDFC receipt not get deactivated? it does so only when we cancel the appointment for the 2nd time?

      3) Is there any timeframe or limitation before which i cannot rebook an new appointment once i cancel it for first time?
