Can Visitors visa be cancelled?

My parents got their Visitors Visa sometime in Feb'07. They have been issued a 10 year Visa. Is it required for them to visit the US within first six months of visa issuance? I was informed by few people that if they don't visit within the first six months then their visa stands cancelled.

Someone please let me know about this.

I don't know who is spreading such rumors.

There is no such rule. They can visit any time they want within next 10 years.

please help me,about visa cancellation

hi,my name is erwin i got a bad2 situation about visa cancellation,here is my case

in last february ,i have obtained a visitor visa(5 years validity) from US consulate in surabaya(i am indonesian passport holder) and plan to visit my brother in US in next june,but a terrible disaster come to me ,beside wanna travel to US ,i plan to visit canada too,so last month i made my application to Canadian embassy in jakarta,and when they interviewed me they ask me about my brother's status in USA(they knew about my brother cause,my brother ever applied canadian visa at washington dc,and then refused cause his status still asylee(2001)) ,so i told the visa officer that my brother is a permanent resident in USA (through political assylum,but i did'nt explained the condition)and i told the VO beside i wanna travel to USA and canada i wanna visit him too,and a few days later the VO,ask me to present my brother's copy of pasport ,but i rejected cause after ask my brother to scan the pasport,my brother told me that he can not give me the passport cause his lawyer said he can not use his passport anymore instead he must use refugee travel document,so then after my objection to canadian embassy,They rejected my visa,but something that make me upset is the canadian embassy send my pasport to US embassy in jakarta,and cancelled my visa, iam very2 upset, for your information i've been to many countries most of asia,europe,NZ,australia,and i have a good job in indonesia,so it seems so unfair to me,now in my US visa there is a CANCELLED stamp,so do i need to reapply my visa at US consulate, and declare about my brother status there?(cause in previous interviewed i didn't write down about my brother in USA,and i am so sure now they have known about my brother,from canadian embassy) and if i do that ,doesn't it affect my condition of getting a new visa,cause at first my brother come to US through tourist visa and then applied for assylum,thanx for your help and look forward for your reply
