Help needed

Hi all,

My parents are coming to visit me next week. I have few queries !
Their itinerary is like chennai -->Frankfurt-->San Francisco-->Salt Lake City

I need to know if San Francisco is their port of entry and do they have to claim the customs there and recheck-in their baggage at San Francisco to come to SLC?

Please guide me!
