Can someone please tell me if we need to have an observation made in the passport by the Indian Passport Authorities before going for the interview is we have filled FNU for first name and full name in surname tab in DS156, as I read in one of the site as "In order for your name to be correctly printed on your visa, you must have this observation made before coming for your interview."
Please share your experience if anyone has done this before. How long does it take to get the observation done in the passport and what are the things we need to carry to the passport office. Should the passport holder go to the passport office in person?
