corrections in the DS 156&157 forms during second attempt for B1/B2
Recently i attended non immigrant visa ( B1/B2 - Business visit ) at chennai consulate and refused under 214(B)
In the form submitted ( DS 156 & 157 ) , mistakenly i interchanged and entered Surname and first&middle name ( Item # 6 and 7 ). This mistake was noted and informed by the officer at the pre screening counter at the consulate on the date of interview. He made small circles on the ( Item # 6 and 7 ) using pen and asked me to proceed for the interview.
In my passport it is correctly given.In the HDFC fee receipt also it is correctly mentioned. But while entering form 156 this mistake happened.
Now i am re applying for second interview.
Pl advice can i correct the above mistake in the new DS 156 & 157 form.
Also inform me whether i need to inform this to the visa officer during my next NIV interview.
Pl inform me what impact this will have on my visa prospects in the second attempt.
