I apologize for the late posting. My mom and Dad had visitor visa interviews on May 2nd in Chennai Consulate and both are granted 10 years visa.
Some Back ground:
My mom had applied for visitor visa in July, 2003, took Tamil interview and got 3 months in the stamping but at the port of entry in Chicago she was given 6 months of stay as per I-94. But she stayed for 5 months and left to india.
Interview was scheduled at 11:15 am on May 2nd.
This time questions were asked only to my mom about my job, salary, how long I am in USA, how many children they have (me and my sister only and she is studying in India), length of stay in per previous visit.
No questions were asked to my Dad. This time both had English interviews. The Visa officer was kind enough to slow down his English when he realized that my mom could not understand his fast english.
None of the sponsors documents were seen. None of my parents documents were seen too. They just picked the DS-156 form and passport.
Passport received in hand in a week's time with a stamping for 10 years visa.
