Invitation Letter & Letter to Consulate

Hello,
My parents have an interview scheduled on July 11, 2007 at Mumbai consulate. In the DS156 I have indicated that I would be sponsoring them. Both me and my wife are working here on H1B and have combined assets and tax returns. Now I understand that I would have to send copies of all documents related to passport/tax returns/pay stubs/employment letters etc for both myself and my wife. But what about the invitation letter to my parents and letter to consulate. Does my wife need to sign both these letters? Is it ok if we word the letter in such a way that both of us are inviting rather than just myself as shown in the sample letters?

Please advise.

She doesn't have to sign.

You can word in such a way that both of you are inviting.
