You are welcome to try your luck. However, the chances of your getting a visa are pretty slim/weak.

The reason is that at this point you cannot prove social/economic ties to India or the UK and thus cannot provide convincing evidence of your intent to return. A letter from your university does not really help prove your intention to return. The situation would be different if you had a high-paying job in the UK. But you don't.

So you will probably get your passport back in the mail with a stamp on the remarks page indicating that you had submitted a US visa application to the US embassy/consulate and a letter stating that your application is being denied because you don't have adequate ties to your home country or the UK.

US universities allow credits from UK university courses to be transferred to US university courses. And today a good US university degree is often considered (in practical terms to be) more valuable than a UK university degree. So an incomplete UK university course is not proof of your intent to return.

And again, you need to show social and economic ties to UK or your home country in order to get a US visitors visa. You cannot show those at present.

There are many people who have tried to use the UK as a stepping stone to get a US visa. So unless you have a well-paying job in the UK that indicates your strong economic ties to that country, you don't stand a good chance of getting a US visa if you apply from the UK.

it would be very stupid for a person to pay uk tuition fees of around $15000 for the last year and than go to usa and transfer his credit over there..When ill be applying for the usa visa i will be ending my first semester of my final year .so if i have 1 semester left just think for youself ..its not even practical to think about it ..as far as high paying job is concerned ..i have seen ppl in uk havin high paying job of indian nationality who doont get a visa just coz they think he mihgt get a job there..im not even a graduate and will be in my final year at the time of my application

you will not get an answer till u try. everything else is a speculation.

based on stats and previous cases mentioned you are less likely to get a visa but it is not impossible.
