Strategy for getting regional language appointments

Hi,
I have noticed that a lot of people have trouble finding non-English language appointments. From my experience of looking for appointments in the last 3-4 months, this is what I noticed:

VFS opens up appointments for 1 additional week once every week. I noticed that they do this every time the date on the current month becomes greater than the last appointment date of next month, either on a friday or a monday. For example if the last appointment date available is July 14, then they will open up new appointments on June 15th. And when they do this, regional language appointments become available for that new week of appointments. I used this strategy to get a early morning(7:15AM) appointment for my mother so that she doesn't have to stand in long queues and it worked. So, keep a look out for appointments on Fridays and Mondays.

Disclaimer: This is something I noticed a few times, but don't blame me if this doesn't work now.

Well i have been trying to book an appointment for my mother and dont have luck so far. I want to book an appointment in kannada and it always shows the msg "interviews dates not currently available check back after 24hrs" So how do i know when they will open new appointments?

Try looking for appointments every week on Wednesday night (8:00PM PST) thru Thursday morning (9:00AM PST). They go very fast, try checking every hour during this time. A month ago they used to open new slots on Thursday night, looks like now they have moved it to Wednesday night.

Hint: If you find new English appointment slots for the week, usually they open for regional appointments as well. Current the English appointments are open until 3rd August. The new regional appointment dates may open for August 6th thru 10th on 27th June PST (next Wednesday).

I was trying book an appointment in Tamil for my parents in law for the past one week. But finally I was able to book on yesterday (22nd June - Friday around 7.am PT) an appointment for my parents in law on the date of Aug2nd 2007.

This is my personal experience which I tried based on my friend's experience. So try in the morning time from 6am to 8 am everyday in addition to regular search.

Finally was able to book an appointment for my parents in chennai with kannada interpretor for august 8th.
I have been checking every 1hr from the time i wake up until i go to bed ... now i can stop looking at that website:-) Even people at my work place are happy that i will work more effecifinetly now on

i agree with you Dost! wat a relief...even I can work & sleep peacfully!
even I was able to get an appointment for Kannada on 8th for my MIL.
