Visitor's visa for parents after citizenship

Hi,

Me & my hubby recently became a US citizen. However, we haven't applied for our passports yet, since we changed our name & we needed the original documents with us for changing the name in many documents.

But I would like to apply for a visitor visa for my parents in about 3 months. Do I as a sponsor need to submit my US passport or is a notarized copy of the naturlization certificate and name change form is sufficient?

Also, even if I apply for a passport now, it seems to take longer processing time in US nowadays.

Naturalization certificate is enough to prove US citizenship.
