B1/B2 Visa in Old Passport

Myself and my wife hold B1/B2 visas stamped on our old passports valid for 10 yrs that expire during 2008. We had already visited US some years ago and would like to visit US again during this year. Since our passports (in which our US visas are stamped) have expired we have renewed and got new passports.Can we travel to US with that valid US Visa stamped on our old passports? Some people say we need to get US visa stamped on our new passport and some say it is not necessary and we can travel . Can some one give us correct and latest rule/information on this? Your response would be highly appreciated.

passport expiry

i have a B1 B2 visa for USAstamped in May 2006 for 10 years multiple entry. My passport expires on 9.10.2007. I wish to travel to USA before that i.e from 31st July to 14th August 2007. i intend to be back in India 2 months before expiryt of my passport. Will I be allowed to visit USA in such circumstances of my passport validity or I will be denied by immigration in India and entry in USA. please advise asap.
