Changing US Visa Interview Appointment Date

Hi,

I have got certain appointment date(by online) for US B1/B2 Visa interview but i want to travel to US before that. That was the earliest date available for interview when i booked it. Is there anyway I can advance it by a couple of weeks? If go to change/cancel appointment page will the system cancel my existing appointment automatically or it would hold the present appointment till i make my decision. Could some one please advise on this?

Hi

A visa is not automotically cancelled by going to a the modify/cancel page. A dialogue box would appear asking you whether you want to confirm cancel or not. Only if you confirm cancel, your earlier appointment will be cancelled.

Ha! Good luck. Doesn't work.

Unless you have a medical emergency for which you need to pre-pone your appointment, it's not easily possible and may cause other problems, like possible denial of your visa request.
