Did any one use counter passport collection facility at Chennai?

My mom had her interview on June 28th at 8:30 AM. At the end of the interview visa officer told her that she will be receiving her passport through courier. But, My mom is planning to collect the passport from the Chennai VFS counter facility. When I track the passport online it says that, “Your passport has not been handed over to VFS. Kindly contact our regional call centers for further queries.” When contacted VFS service center they asked to check back on Monday July 2nd.

Can any one please let me know usually how long it will take for the Chennai Consulate to hand over the passport to VFS center?

Did any one receive their passport whose interview was on June 28th?

My mom collected her passport on Monday July 2nd from VFS counter. She received a 10 year multiple entry visa. I am very happy. This site provided tremendous help in preparing for my mom’s visa. Thank you very much immihelp.
