B2 Visa ?, Travelling Jul 5, need Help pls!

My mom came to US on B2 Visa, her I-94 is about to expire July 5; We applied for extension weeks ago, no reply receipt yet from USCIS, but I know through certified mail that they recieved the app. Mom and I are in Seattle travelling to Los Angeles July 5 returning to Seattle July 7...will she be okay to travel within US? Mom has an alien ID card (permanent resident) issued from US Territory she lives at. What ID/documents can we show in case airline authorities ask questions, and we don't have a receipt from USCIS yet to confirm receiving extension request? Help! Thanks.

Just carry the photo ID such as alien ID card, passport, driver's license. Nothing else is required for domestic travel.
