  • PLs Help ...B2 Visa ..employment issue !!!

    HI ALL,
I am from India & I am planning for a visitor visa of 10-15 days to USA to a friend of mine where in we wd have some trip there around. NOw as i saw here in the visitor visa rules , visa officer often wants to see if te applicant has a good job or aconstant earnig source .NOw I had been working earlier. But now i changed my career and do some freelancing in Graphics and take a special course in 3D. So I wd take the money for my trip from my dad and my savings. So can that cause that I am not employed may get my visa rejected ?? Also how long is this B2 visa taking now a days ?? pls advice .................. I need to know this urgently

    Hi amlan,
To be eligible for a US non immigrant visa, the Officer is looking for strong ties back in your home country. A secure job that pays well is just one of the ties that the visa officer may consider.
Even if you dont have any jobs, if you could prove to the visa officer that you will return back to your country, you will get visa.

(But spending Dad's savings for a jolly trip is a little too hard to believe.)

As to your next question, check the VFS website.

      What's the hurry?

Agree with Rathi, man, make your own money and then travel, unless you dad's very wealthy and he has spoilt you.

Also, why do you want to know this urgently? What's the hurry?

You don't have a job, you're spending dad's hard earned money and you want to urgently come to the USA?

Ha! Come on, my friend, understand your life.

Actually, you know what, do let us know if you get the visa. We'll be amazed if the AMCON officer gives you the visa and then rejects the same for poor parents of an only child!

      Good luck.
