  • father's name misprint

my father's passport and records have the correct last name. but in my passport one letter is misspelled in his last name.(printed "killari" instead "killeri"). i got visa and greencard also.
now im planning to bring my parents to US.

1)are they going to reject the visa with this misspell in my passport.
2)is it required to correct his last name in my passport and what is the procedure to correct it.

please suggest me the best way to go.

read other posts. there've been several on this issue.
no they won't REJECT any visa application on a typo.
your father's name in your passport won't effect you as it's not submited when your dad applies for the visa

    good luck

You can ask your father to take a Name Affidavit (signed by a Notary). We did that for my parents (thought it was never asked for in the interview). Mention in the affidavit, that both surname spellings are for the same person.
