  • B 2 visa on old passport

I have a B1B2 visa on my old passport issued in May 2006 multiple entry for 10 years. I have been issued a new passport last week only. Can I travel without any hassle. Naturally my photo on the passport has also changed since last one was 10 years old.My new passport has no mention of old passport number. Please advise.
    Thanks
    Ajay

Passport expires, but valid visas do not

Whenever a passport expires and a new one needs to be issued, the valid visas in the passport do not expire.

You should always have both the passports with you all the time. One which is current and valid with your updated information including newer picture and the old one which has your valid visas for all the countries that you visit.

This happens with us all the time. It's no big deal.

Of course, you can go through the hassle of spending time and money to get the visa re-stamped on the new passport, but it's not worth it.
