B2 tourist visa rejected for my mother.

Hi All,

I would appreciate if anyone could let me know within how many days can we reapply for B2 tourist visa. My mother was rejected B2 visa on July 9th 2007 at chennai. I would also like to know what things I need to take care of, since she alone is visiting the consulate since my father is no more. I have one younger sister who has recently joined a software firm.

As of this time, we furnished all financial assests and income statregy, but in vain nothing worked.

Sorry to hear that your mom's visa was rejected.

This is what AMCON's web site for Chennai says on refusals:
"Applicants receive a written explanation concerning their visa ineligibility and what they may do, if anything, to overcome that ineligibility."

Also, they say: "Once an officer has determined that an applicant does not qualify for a visa, the applicant should not re-apply unless there are significant changes in the applicant's circumstances or information, which was not presented during the first interview."

Thanks a lot. The info provided was of great help. I had one more question. My hubby will be sponsoring my mother and he is on H1b visa. I am trying to book her next appointment sometime in mid august, i.e arnd a month later after her first rejection. My question is, should we send latest pay stubs and bank ststements.? Last time the latest, we sent was of for month of june.
