Do I need my original birth certificate for sponsoring my parents' Visitor visa? In case, it is not available, kindly suggest the alternative(s).

    Huh?

    Huh???!!

Where is YOUR birth certificate asked for sponsoring your parents?

Nope, if I understood your question correctly, then, no, you don't need neither original nor a copy of YOUR birth certificate.

    Good luck.

        Hi
The original birth certificate of sponsor is not a necessary document, just a suggested one. Do not worry if dont have one.

someguy - indian missions abroad (embassy/consulate) usually offer a birth certificate service for $20. it's a pretty generic certificate that says "according to your passport your parents are bla bla and you were born on bla at bla". not much really, but it's on the indian consulate/embassy letterhead, so that might be an acceptable document. hope this helps.
