Urgent : Short personal visit before business visit

Hi,

I have a B1/B2 visa for ONE year without annotation received through BEP program from my present company.

I intend to travel to US for a month to phoenix (mentioned this in travel purpose for visa), but before entering i would like to spend the weekend (2 days) in detroit.

Seniors/Experts,

1. Is there any chance i will be asked questions on the Port of Entry as to the gap from POE to destination ?

2.Are there any chances of me being sent back from the POE?

3.Do i have to mention that in the arrival form ???
(i know its safe to do it, but i was rejected F1 twice two year back and this B1/B2 i received on business purpose to Phoenix, so am fearing the officer may doubt my intentions) - i will have tkts for detroit - pheonix for 2 days later

4. Should i drop this idea of spending a weekend at detroit before leaving for phoenix?

I need urgent help as im leaving on 20th, and have to change my detroit booking if this is the case

Experts please provide comments/suggestions.

the diversion is not an issue. make sure you have firm onward travel plans
