Passport collection after VISA stamping

I heard from couple of friends that we have to collect the passport from the consulate itself after the Visa stamping in Chennai. Are they stopped sending passports by courier?

did you check the vfs site, they have the most authoritative answer.

They let you pick passport same/nest day depending on interview time, but courier it after the two hour window for pickup is gone
