Can i apply tourist visa for my inlaws urgent

Hi,

My H1 B is going to expire on Sep 30 2007 and my company statred processing for my extension ,i have sent all the required docs to my company for extension and they are not updating me with the status even though i followed up many times but i received a mail from them today saying that it will take 9 weeks to process . I have previous receipt number, Can i apply tourist visa for my inlaws.Any idea can be highly appreciated.

The procedure is your inlaws can directly apply for a B-2 Visa in person at their home country at US consulate. Your role can be to send an invitation letter to them which would add an advantage to get a visa at the embassy. If they are not financially sound and need any support in US You can forward them an affidavit of support stating you shall take care of the expenses of your inlaws while at US. Your In-laws have to file Visa application at the US consulate at home country.
