Duration between visa approval and first trip to the USA

My parents applied for a visitors visa with the intent to attend my graduation ceremony. They were granted the visa last month for a period of 10 years.

However, due to some financial reasons they could not come to my Graduation this month, and, it is not possible for them to come here until May of 2008.

My dilemma is that since they were granted visitor's visa on the basis of my Graduation, and, they didn't make it, so whenever they will come here next year the immigration officer at Port-of-Entry might deny them an entry in the USA.

Is there a stipulated time between the granting of Visitor visa and the first entry into the United States?

if you searched the forum you would have found the answer that entry can be any time within the validity of visa.

I had the exact same question,even though I read the forum 'Before you post' thing.I guess we are always so apprehensive about the visa that we can never be too sure.Anyway, I have my answer,so thought Ill drop in a little thankyou for the good work you guys do! Thanks!

I had read "Before you post" section before posting this here. However, that question was asked in 2004 or 2005, and, I am not sure if they've changed any rules since then.

Does someone on this forum know anyone who has actually done so--got the Visitor visa issued in 2005 for example and came to the US this year for the first time?

The rules have not changed since ther is no such time limit as long as the visa is valid you can come any time. Only true for B visas though
