  • Transit visa at Frankfurt

Can someone please tell me the latest rule like whether a person travelling from India to US holding non immigrant visa(10 yrs Visitor visa) and being an India citizen would require transit visa for changing their flight at Frankfurt? My mother would travel from India to US via Lufthansa, hence would have to change the flight at Frankfurt. I have bought the tickets, Please let me know if transit visa is required as i have read differenty links and read different answers. If transit visa is required can anyone please tell me if we can get it from the travel agent back in India from where we purchased the tickets. Appreciate anyone who's parents has had travelled recently via Lufthansa to US share their experience.

    Thanks

For the poeple who are traveling to USA with valid US visa do not require transit visa.

"Exception 4 to the list above
The exceptions under no. 1.) apply. In addition, please note:
Indian and Turkish airport transit travelers who

      - are holding a valid visa or other residence permit for the USA (this includes advance paroles, but not approval notices), Canada or Switzerland and travel to the country which issued that visa or residence permit

      or

      - after a legal stay in the USA (this includes holders of valid approval notices), Canada or Switzerland- return to the country whose citizenship they hold

do not need an airport transit visa."
