parents/In Laws visting with in 6 months

My Parents and In Laws are visiting US in September, They visited last September and went back to India in Feb before their I94 expired now they will be visiting us during september. They have visa for 10 years, My questions are

1) Do they need any documents to be shown at POE, if so what are they.
2) Can they inform at POE they are going to stay for 6 months are they need to say 4 months.

if asked they should mention the duration they want to stay, that is the only correct answer
