Marathi Interview Dates- No Luck-Please Help

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for Marathi Language interpreter from last 3-4 weeks for tourist visa of my parents (Mumbai), but no luck. Can anybody tell me when it will open? or when should I look for the interview slot? What'll be best time to look for the interview dates to be available?

Please help, I need your suggestion.

There is no way to know when it will open etc. Keep checking.

im chkng the dates from past 3 weeks with no luck.
I called the helpdesk and they told the dates are not available for marathi right now, so keep chkng on the site. the consulate releases the dates once per month it seems for the next month and they get filled up pretty fast, last month they were up and open only for an hour. tough.

no other go, kip hitting the site every now and then.

Try checking on wed, thurs ,and fri , I got appointment twice on thurs and my friend also got appointment for her parents on thurs.

the interview was not conducted in MARATHI
it was conducted in Hindi

so dont try to get marathi interview dates and this is not a one off thing

u might have selected marathi or any other language but you folks will be interviewed in hindi , even thought the state language is marathi

isnt that pathetic ..

I totally agree. if they are going to interview in hindi then what is the point of other regional lang appointments.

btw, did your parents get the visa? how did they handle the questions? please let us know more

Marathi interview dates

Hi All,

I am trying to get visitor visa appointment date from last 3 months but no luck. I need to get appointment in Marathi for my mother-in-law. I sent couple of emails to Mumbai consulate but they only send standard reply and that too, it is coming from VFS rather than consulate.

Appreciate if any one please share, how to get interview dates in local language. It's very frustrating that even after following all the procedure, we do not get appointment dates. I am ok, even if visa appointment date is Jan / Feb but I don't see any date and always the msg is "Check after 24 hours". I am checking from last 3 months

My advice based on what people have posted before you.

1) Fill the applications on wednesdays (they stay for a week)
2) Beginning at that time check almost every hour till Friday morn.
3)usually the appointments are opened for a week Thurs/Friday and last 30 mts to 2 hrs
4) They usually open around late in the nite US time. people have posted success starting from 8:00 pm PSt to 5 am PSt

my dad got visa , he had requested marathi interpreter and the lady was speaking in hindi rather than marathi , like i said before .. in chennai u get tamil interpreter , in calcutta u get Bengali interpreter and in mumbai u get
guggu . my guess is once a month or bi montly there is a day reserved for
interpreter based interviews .. so try to find out

I knew a travel agent who told me about consulate reserving one day to do such interviews last was on sept 14 2007 so it should be approx on oct 14 .. but keep trying late in the nite

If I fill the application and it stays there for a week but will it invalidate my HDFC receipt if I am not able to confirm my appointment in 7 days.

I read somewhere that after some attempts my HDFC receipt become invalid but not very sure about it. I am not filling my application because of this reason.

Can you please clarify.

Dear Mr.mdmahajan,

No. your HDFC form will not become invalid. You can save the filled in visa appln. forms any number of times before the validitity of HDFC receipt.

Only the data whatever you save in the application will automatically deleted from the website at the end of the seventh day.

no it will not invalidate your receipt becuase it is almost like winning a billion dollar lottery to get appointments within a week.

It will put a hold of 90 days if you cancel twice and 2 days for the first time. It is for cancelling an appointemnt not for the apps to disapper.

You dont want to wait for availability to get appointments because by the time you are done the appts will be gone.
