Hello all,
We are so happy today as we learnt that my MIL finally got visa on 2nd attempt. Last time she was given 214(B) by a VO who was talking in broken Kannada without asking any question other than who is in america?.
Well we are not sure for how long she is granted visa..but looks like 6 months which is good enough for her. Here are the details
This time there was a english speaking VO with a Kannada translator to assist. They first wished my MIL who wished them good mornign in retun.
VO: What is your son
MIL: my son is XX in YYYY company
VO: What is his monthly salary?
MIL: YYYY pa. ( VO asked per month but MIL knew only PA salary but VO dint mind just smiled)
VO: When did your son go to US?
MIL: MMMYYYY
VO: Does you son have any children
MIL: NO
VO: Why is you husband not coming with you? ( My FIL dint apply)
MIL: we have our pet dogs, grandchildren and daughter with us. and he needs to be with them and take care of property.
VO: Ok is it ok if I give you 6 monts visa
MIL: fine. I will only stay for 3 months and will be back before winter.
VO smiled and wished her and took her passport.
The only difference between last time and this time interview was I asked my MIL to hand over the cover letter to the VO. the VO went through it and asked the questions based on cover letter. Rest of the documents my MIL used were the same that we had sent for previous interview which was in April 30th.
well we are happy. Thanks to immihelp & all the forum discussions which helped in geting the documents ready.
